20 Year Anniversary
Thanks to you, our loyal customers, we are celebrating 20 years in business on Saturday, May 24th. We are planning a huge Sidewalk Sale; we’ll have prizes, gifts and refreshments. Some lucky shopper will win a $200 gift certificate.
In the Spring of 1994, Judy opened her store as The Booksmith at Livery Square, a book and music store on the second floor of the shops on Washington Square in Greenwich. In 1996 when the current store on Main Street became available,, Judy moved there and began the transition to a home furnishings business. Colonial furniture and the accessories created to complement that period in time became the main focus of the shop. Two apartments located on the second floor became the perfect setting for rooms decorated in colonial style…and Union Village Ltd. began.
Over the years we have enjoyed searching for quality merchandise offered at a reasonable price. Many friendships and bonds have been formed. Folks who began as customers have become cherished friends and we look forward to their visits as a time to catch up on family events, vacations, and milestones in their lives.
The niche market that has been created by Judy’s personal taste in decorating draws customers from the surrounding area. If Colonial furniture, Windsor chairs, Shaker style tables, rag rugs, painted floorcloths and wrought iron lighting are your style, Union Village Ltd. is THE place to shop. Ken and Judy have delivered furniture to New Hampshire, the Catskills, the Adirondacks, Massachusetts, Saratoga Springs, Vermont as well as the area surrounding Greenwich and it reflects the wide-spread appeal Union Village Ltd. has.
Take the time on Saturday, May 24th to stop by and say “hello”, browse the sale, tables, nibble on a cookie or two, and take a chance on winning the big prize…no purchase necessary. We just want to say “thanks” we appreciate your business and value your friendship.
